Our founder, David Ping, is a Columbus native who has deep roots in the northern part of the city. Ping Precision Auto Glass Lifetime Warranty
**Post-Installation Guidelines**
Following the installation, kindly leave your vehicle's windows open by approximately 1" for a 24-hour period to relieve air pressure (Excluding certain types of weather). Refrain from washing your vehicle for 48 hours. Our team has utilized industry-approved retention tape on your vehicle, which should be removed after 24 hours but no later than 48 hours, unless otherwise instructed. Please be aware that Ping Precision Auto Glass cannot be held responsible for any paint peeling or damage resulting from defective paint. We strongly recommend avoiding driving your vehicle until the adhesive used for the windshield installation attains the necessary strength to meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for windshield/glass retention. This adhesive is engineered to meet these standards in the event of a collision or rollover. Until the adhesive reaches sufficient strength, the windshield may not stay securely in place during a collision or rollover, potentially putting passengers at risk of severe or fatal injury. Always exercise caution while driving and ensure you wear your seatbelt.
The "Minimum Safe Drive Away Time" for your vehicle is determined by the adhesive manufacturer, taking into account factors like the presence of a passenger-side airbag, the type of adhesive used, and the prevailing temperature and humidity during installation. You will be provided with information regarding the recommended duration for not driving your vehicle to achieve SDAT. Despite our efforts to vacuum your vehicle of any previously broken glass, there may still be glass particles that are neither visible nor accessible during regular cleanup. Take necessary precautions to prevent any injuries. Please note that Ping Precision Auto Glass is not responsible for additional cleanup, and under no circumstances will we be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
**Lifetime Warranty**
All automotive glass installed by Ping Precision Auto Glass is covered against defects in material and workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. For truck sliding back glass and other movable units, a manufacturer's warranty typically covers defects in material and workmanship for one year from the installation date, as per the invoice. For dealer and replacement parts, including mechanical and electrical components such as window lift assemblies, wiper assemblies, motors, switches, sensors, etc., the manufacturer's warranty covers defects only. Any such defects must be reported to Ping Precision Auto Glass, and the original receipt is required for warranty claims.
In the event of a warranty claim, you will be notified of a diagnostic labor charge to determine the source of leakage, noise, failed components, or other reported issues. If the diagnostic reveals that the warranty claim results from defective material, workmanship, or a covered component, Ping Precision Auto Glass will waive the diagnostic fee and make reasonable efforts to repair your vehicle correctly.
If it is determined during diagnosis that Ping Precision Auto Glass is not responsible for the warranty claim issue, you will be informed of this discovery and charged the diagnostic fee. If Ping Precision Auto Glass can carry out the necessary repairs, you will receive options and costs for repair, including any additional labor required to replace or repair missing, damaged, or failed components.
At the discretion of Ping Precision Auto Glass and with your approval, non-warranty issues may be addressed during the diagnostic process without significant additional time or parts beyond the initial diagnostic rate. You are not obligated to choose Ping Precision Auto Glass for non-warranty repair work and are welcome to use the diagnostic invoice with any repair shop of your choice. Please note that the chosen repair shop is not obligated to accept Ping Precision Auto Glass's diagnostic and may have its own requirements. The Lifetime warranty does not cover used glass or parts.
**Warranty Exclusions**
This warranty does not cover damage to glass or parts due to theft, fire, vandalism, negligent conduct, accidents, natural disasters, acts of God, rock chips, or any other damage not related to defective workmanship or materials. Under no circumstances will Ping Precision Auto Glass be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
Leakage, stress cracks, or related damage arising from installations to vehicles with damage or rust on the pinch weld, body panels, or adjacent components are not covered. Ping Precision Auto Glass will make reasonable efforts to inform you of any missing or damaged parts or rust before removing existing glass or components. If missing or damaged parts or rust are not visible during the initial inspection and are discovered once work begins during the removal of moldings, glass, or other components blocking the initial visual inspection, you will be promptly notified before work proceeds. You will receive information about options and costs for repair, including any additional labor charges to replace or repair missing, damaged, or rusted components. Very minor rust issues can typically be repaired by Ping Precision Auto Glass for an additional labor charge.
Major damage or rust issues that prevent the safe installation of glass or components must be repaired by a qualified auto body or repair facility. You will be responsible for all costs required to have your vehicle properly repaired before Ping Precision Auto Glass can continue its work. You will also be responsible for paying for any charges incurred until the point at which work is halted due to additional repairs being necessary. Once the necessary repairs are completed, you should contact Ping Precision Auto Glass to schedule a work resumption appointment, and the balance payment will be due upon completion of services. Please note that the warranty is NULL and VOID if repairs or replacements are performed without prior notification to Ping Precision Auto Glass. Ping Precision Auto Glass will not be responsible for any payments made by another company for repairs and replacements without prior authorization. This Limited Warranty does not cover used glass or parts.
**General**
Ping Precision Auto Glass retains the right to offer varying discounts for different customer accounts and insurance companies. All charges are C.O.D. unless prior written credit approval has been obtained. A 20% handling charge is applicable to returned or canceled items. Special order parts require a deposit. Please avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle, as Ping Precision Auto Glass will not be responsible for lost or damaged items left inside during the course of glass repair or cleanup. Moldings, gaskets, clips, weather strips, sensors, mechanical or electrical components, and others are considered separate and additional charges if required for installation.
